SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Scoring three times over a span of 14 minutes, the Notre Dame College women's soccer team (5-3-3, 4-3-1 MEC) generated a come-from-behind victory over Davis & Elkins College (2-8-1, 1-6-1 MEC) on Sunday afternoon, by a score of 3-1. Junior
Louisa Follert played a pivotal roll in the NDC offense by facilitating a career-high three assists, the most assists by an NDC Falcon in program history.
"We had really good chemistry today," mentioned Follert postgame. "In the second half, we all wanted to turn this game around and I think that it worked out for us."
It was a tale of two halves for Notre Dame College, as Davis & Elkins dominated the first half possession en route to a 1-0 halftime lead. Alexa Karsel was assisted by Madison Rose for the Senators in the 14
th minute.
Out of the break, the Falcons were determined to bounce back on homecoming weekend, as NDC grabbed the majority of the second half possession, including outshooting D&E eight to six in the stanza.
Notre Dame broke through with a 54

Madison Marino. The Stow, Ohio native tallied her first goal on the year, as Follert and Szijarto tag-teamed the assisting duties.
Three minutes later the Falcons scored once again, as Szijarto found the back of the net in the 57
th minute. The Arch Bishop Hoban High School product received a pass from junior
Ashley Rainho, who was set up by Follert's playmaking, to gift NDC the lead 2-1.
In the 68
th minute, Notre Dame doubled their advantage as Szijarto scored for the second time, her third multi-goal game of the year and team-leading ninth score of the season. The Ravenna, Ohio native is tied for the most goals scored in the MEC and tied for the seventh most goals scored in the nation.
Freshman
Hailee Smith and Follert connected on a world-class through ball and cross to set up Szijarto, as Notre Dame totaled six assists as team, tied for the most in a match in program history, including the most assists since posting six against Fairmont State on Oct. 29, 2016.
"With Louisa coming back she has been able to find everyone super easily," stated Szijarto. "I think that we have all been working together better and communicating, and that makes it easier for us to go forward with players like that."
Szijarto (4), Smith (3) and Follert (2) recorded multiple shots as NDC owned 13 and four shots on goal, compared to D&E's 12 shots and four on goal.
Senior
Jordan Pasalaqua snagged a game-high three saves as the Madison, Ohio native picked up the 32
nd win of her career, the third-most in NDC program history, two wins away from tying Kristy Kolschetzky for the most career wins between the pipes for the Falcons.
The Notre Dame College women's soccer will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. when Glenville State University comes to Mueller Field.
