SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The defending Mountain East Conference Champion Notre Dame College women's lacrosse program, under the direction of head coach
Ben Morhac, has announced its 2023 schedule. The Falcons will attempt to win their third consecutive conference title.
NDC opens the 2023 campaign on the road against the top ranked team in the country and defending National Champions, the University of Indianapolis, on March 1. The Falcons then take a trip down to Florida to play up and coming Gulf South Conference Runner-Up Flagler College and Florida Southern College. A perennial national power and Sunshine State Conference Champions, the Mocs of Florida Southern finished the season ranked No. 7 in the nation. Those games will be play on March 7 and March 9, respectively.
The Falcons then travel to the two-time defending Great Midwest Athletic Conference Champions Walsh University, on March 16. That is followed up with a neutral site game against the three-time defending Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champions and No. 10 ranked team in the country, Regis University, on March 18. That game will be played at UIndy. To wrap up the month of March, the Falcons open up the home portion of the schedule with a matchup against Quincy University, on the 23rd. NDC will travel to West Virginia Wesleyan College on March 26 and Davis & Elkins College on March 30 to start Mountain East Conference play.
The final month of the regular season sees the Falcons playing nine games with eight of those games being conference opponents. The month of April opens up on the 2nd, at home, against the two-time Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Champions and number 8 nationally ranked Grand Valley State University Lakers. The Falcons play three more road games at Frostburg State University, on April 5, Alderson Broaddus University, on April 22, and the University of Charleston, on April 30. NDC will be on Mueller Field to battle Alderson Broaddus, on April 9, Charleston, on April 13, West Virginia Wesleyan, on April 16, Davis & Elkins, on April 19, and Frostburg State, on April 27.
The Mountain East Conference Playoffs will be played on May 4 and May 7, at the home field of the highest seeded team.
