WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – A pair of equalizing goals by senior

Emma Buda earn Notre Dame (1-1-1, 0-0-1 MEC) a draw (2-2) with West Liberty (1-1-1, 0-0-1 MEC) on Wednesday evening.
After a save by senior keeper
Jordan Pasalaqua in the 6
th minute, the Notre Dame offense began to attack. Buda was on the offensive all night long as she recorded shots on goal in the ninth, 21
st and 28
th minutes, but Hilltopper keeper Zara Wickert answered the call. West Liberty broke the stalemate in the 34
th minute, despite four rapid fire saves from Pasalaqua when the ball was bouncing inside the box (1-0). A few minutes later, NDC registered a pair of corner kicks as they were eager to tie the game. In the 43
rd minute, Allen equalized for the Falcons with the first goal of her career off of the assist from junior
Kalie Blaising (1-1).
In the 67
th minute, on the first shot of the half, West Liberty again broke the tie with a 67
th minute goal (2-1). In the 81
st minute, Buda took the game into her own hands by dribbling the ball down the field, taking a back tap, and ripping a shot with her left foot of off the post and in for a Falcon goal. The score was again tied, this time at 2-2. The match would remain tied, preserving Notre Dame's undefeated 12-0-8 all-time record against West Liberty.
Buda's four shots all came on net, as she scored her second goal of the season to lead the Notre Dame offense. On the season, Buda now leads NDC in goals, shots and shots on goal. Furthermore, Allen's goal was her lone shot of the match and the first goal of her career, as junior
Emma Parker registered the other NDC shots (2). Blaising tallied her first assist of the season in the match.
Pasalaqua generated five saves on the day as she played the entire match in goal.
In comparing both sides, West Liberty outshot Notre Dame nine to seven, but NDC posted more saves (5 to 4) and more corner kicks (3 to 2).
The Notre Dame College women's soccer team will be back in action on Sunday Sept. 11 with a 1 p.m. match at Fairmont State.
