This Week: Notre Dame College women's lacrosse will play their first game at home since April 2 when they face West Virginia Wesleyan College, on April 22. First draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. On April 24, the Falcons play on the road against Davis & Elkins College, with a 2 p.m. start time.
Records: Notre Dame now has a record of 5-6 (4-1 MEC), playing just one game last week. WVWC enters the week with a record of 3-8 (0-5 MEC) and D&E has a record of 5-7 and an MEC mark of 2-3.
Coaches Corner: Ben Morhac is in his third season at the helm of the Notre Dame program. He has a record of 19-12 and is 13-2 in the MEC. Hannah Lively is now in her sixth season with W.Va. Wesleyan and she has a record of 18-53-1 (3-32 MEC). David Pomeroy is in his first season with D&E.

Series History: Notre Dame has a record of 9-4 against West Virginia Wesleyan, dating back to 2011. NDC first played Davis & Elkins in 2019 and the hold a 3-1 all-time mark against them.
Noting the Falcons: Notre Dame is looking to get back into a groove after playing just two games since April 7. Since that time, one game has been ruled a forfeit, while another was canceled. Last Saturday, NDC lost their first conference game of the season, falling 13-12 against Frostburg State.
Ebony Reddick set a season-high with six goals in the contest, including three in the second quarter.
Joselyn Storm added three assists and caused three turnovers.
Emileigh Scott won 10 draw controls.
Emileigh Scott leads the team with 32 goals, seven free position goals and 103 draw controls, which is the highest in a season in program history. Scott is third in NCAA Division II with 10.3 draw controls per game.
Piper Hammond is having a solid freshman season, leading the team with 22 groundballs, ranking second on the team with 17 goals and is tied for second with three free position goals. The Falcons have three players leading the way with double-digit assists,
Megan Dano (12),
Joselyn Storm (11) and
Charlotte Vari (10). Storm leads the team with 12 caused turnovers.
Alicyn Loberg has 106 draw controls in her time with the Falcons and
Emileigh Scott has 103. They rank fifth and ninth, respectively, in NDC career history. Goalkeeper
Mackenzie Levine is the third player in program history with 200 saves in her career at Notre Dame, and she currently has 269.
Noting the Bobcats: West Virginia Wesleyan went 0-2 last week. They fell by a score of 17-4 against Charleston on April 13 and then lost 16-14 versus Davis & Elkins on April 15.
Against Davis & Elkins, the WVWC Bobcats were led by Makenzi Lewellyn, who scored five goals with two assists and eight groundballs.
This season, Emma Adcock leads the team with 30 goals, 14 draw controls and 37 draw controls. Lewellyn is third on the team with 16 goals, second with 13 caused turnovers and 35 draw controls and leads the team with six assists and nine free position goals.
Noting the Senators: Since April 2, Davis & Elkins has won twice, both against W.Va. Wesleyan. Last week, the Senators fell to Frostburg State, 19-6, and beat Wesleyan, 16-14, outscoring the WVWC Bobcats 10-8 in the second half.
Emily Smith had a hat trick (three goals) against Frostburg State and Ashli Bryan caused three turnovers. In the win over West Virginia Wesleyan, Ari Hinton and Griselle Rosado each had five goals. Hinton added two assists. Sarah Zapata, Haleigh Forand and Ashli Bryan all were credited with two caused turnovers, as D&E caused eight as a team. Hinton and Rosado combined to score eight of the Senators' 10 goals in the second half.
Hinton has 31 goals, 16 assists, 47 points, eight free position goals, leading the team in all those categories. Emily Smith has caused 15 turnovers this season. In goal, Marissa Cuevas has started all 11 games, and saved 175 shots.
