SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Facing a nationally ranked opponent for the first time since last year's MEC Tournament Semifinals, the Notre Dame College women's basketball team (2-5, 1-2 MEC) lost to No. 9 Glenville State University (4-1, 2-1 MEC) on Wednesday evening inside Murphy Gymnasium, 116-58.

Karli Anker. The Pioneers answered with a quick 8-0 run, taking the lead 8-2 at the 8:11 mark. GSU closed out the stanza with a 30-15 lead.
Glenville State carried their momentum into the second quarter, winning the frame 34-18 despite back-to-back three-pointers by redshirt sophomore
Alana Ellis within the final minute of the half. GSU led a 64-33 lead at the break.
In the third quarter, both NDC and GSU shot 44.4% from the field, however Glenville State maintained their advantage (97-47) with a 33-14 period win.
During the final 10 minutes of play, the Pioneers won 19-11, handing the Falcons a 116-58 defeat.
Notre Dame College was led offensively by Ellis with a team-high 20 points, followed by Weathers with 12.

Lizzie Imrie tied a season-high with eight points scored, while setting a career-high with eight rebounds.

Peyton Wells also brought down a team-high eight rebounds apiece, as Wells notches a new career-high with that mark. As a unit, NDC hauled in a season-high 40 rebounds on the night.
The Falcons shot 21-61 (34.4%) from the floor, 3-18 (16.7%) from three and 13-19 (68.4%) from the free throw line.
The Notre Dame College women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. when the Falcons travel to Athens, WV to face Concord University.
