GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Glenville State held off Notre Dame, 76-66, on Wednesday night at the Waco Center.
The Pioneers (7-1) managed five more three-pointers than the Falcons (7-2) on the night to give them an edge in the close game. GSC also had the edge on the glass (40-33) and forced four more turnovers in the victory. Zakiyah Winfield had 16 points and six rebounds to lead GSC. Taychaun Hubbard contributed 15 points and six more boards.
Four Falcons scored double figures in the contest. Notre Dame was led by 19 points and four rebounds from Jennifer Oduho.
Jada Marone had 15 points and seven rebounds.
Theresa Parr chipped in 14, and
Amil Ali-Shakir contributed 12 points.
The Falcons return to the court on Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. tip-off against Concord.
