CHARLESTON, W.Va. – To wrap up their two-game road trip over the weekend, Notre Dame College volleyball fell to Charleston by a score of 3-0, on Saturday.
NDC and Charleston were in a close battle through the first set. UC jumped out to a 4-0 advantage but the Falcons fought to close the gap to one point. Not long after, three consecutive kills put the Golden Eagles in front by a score of 10-6. NDC bounced back and won five of the next six points, which included four kills, to tie the game at 11. The Falcons also cut down the Charleston lead to two points (24-22), later on, but the Golden Eagles came away with the set win.
Notre Dame held the lead early in the third set. A 3-0 run gave the Falcons a 5-4 lead and they continued to jump in front by scores of 6-5 and 7-6, taking advantage of UC attack errors. A few long scoring runs allowed Charleston to close out the set and the match.

McKenzie Andrix led the team with 14 assists. On the defensive side, senior
Amelia Kaeberlein added 13 digs while senior
Katie Richardson put down five blocks and sophomore
Brittany Miller had four blocks.
Notre Dame comes home to play Davis & Elkins College on Oct. 19. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
