Urbana, Ohio - A shot, that was rebounded off a save from Notre Dame College's freshman goalkeeper
Jordan Pasalaqua got through to score for Urbana University as the lone goal in the contest between the two Ohio schools. The Falcons fell 1-0 in the programs first ever loss to the Blue Knights.
NDC was able to apply a huge amount of pressure, something the squad has been able to do all season, but each of their on-target attempts were saved by the UU goalie. Notre Dame out-shot Urbana 19-4, including a 6-4 mark in shots on goal. But it was the ricocheted shot from Urbana in the 57th minute that put the game away.
Kazarie Kephart led the team with four shots While
Isabel Sentle and
April Gaukin each took three. Gaukin, who has been a force on the defensive end this season, has taken eight shots in the past four games after attempting none in the first four of 2019.
Midfielder
Michelle Escobar was accurate in her shot attempts as both were on goal.
Pasalaqua, in the first start of her career, tallied three saves.
Notre Dame will host West Liberty on Sunday, October 6, at 4 p.m.
