SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Shepherd University scored 13 goals in the first half and defeated Notre Dame College by a score of 19-2, on Sunday afternoon.
Sarah Wendt scored three goals in the first half and assisted on one, as Shepherd went into halftime leading 13-0.
In the second half, NDC scored the first goal of the half with 27:16 to go, when sophomore
Blaike Windsor put the ball in the back of the net. The Falcons other goal came with 8:55 remaining when freshman
Natalia Gardner scored.
Shepherd tacked on six goals in the second half.
In the game, Regan Brown, Jordan Sauro, Lillian Funke and Wendt each had three goals. Wendt and Elishia Davis both caused three turnovers. The Rams were 9-of-15 with free position shots.
For NDC, senior
Katherine Elsenbeck had four caused turnovers and senior
Bailey Reardon won four draw controls.
Notre Dame will play April 29, at home, against Wheeling Jesuit University. The seniors will be honored before the game, which is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
