SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Notre Dame College allowed 14 first half goals and lost to Ursuline College, 17-7, at home on Sunday morning.
The Falcons (2-4) were outscored by ten goals in the first half and have now lost three of their last four games. The Arrows (4-4) have won three of their last four games.
Ursuline scored the first three goals of the game and then outscored NDC 7-1 in the first 14 minutes of the game.
Four different Falcons put the ball in the back of the net in the first half, however, Notre Dame trailed 14-4 at the halftime break.
In the second half, both teams scored three goals, with the clock running continuously throughout most of the half.
Darbie Barkman scored two of the three Falcon goals in the second half.
NDC took 22 shots in the game, including 10 in the second half. They were just 12-17 on clear attempts. Barkman had three goals for the Falcons.

UC took 27 shots, 23 on goal along with seven saves on the other end of the field. Natalie Nowicki recorded five goals, Hayley Mazreku scored three goals and Anika Aberegg and Cydney Bartlett both had two goals. Sarah Bowerman came on as the goalie in the second half, and recorded four saves.
Notre Dame will play their first conference game, on the road, against West Virginia Wesleyan College on Friday, April 7. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
