Later in the inning with Sarah Depp on third base, Erin Calhoun tripled to right center, giving the Falcons a two run lead. Amy Hoover then hit a blooper to center, scoring the third run.

Falcons' starting pitcher, Taylor Olson had a perfect game through four innings. Raven Greer broke it up with a one out single down the left field line.

The Falcons won with the run rule in the sixth inning. With runners on first and second, Perris Stevens doubled to left center, scoring one run. The next hitter, Halli Swiger walked to load the bases. Shelby Stephens then hit a sacrifice fly to center field. Then Kusmits had an RBI single, Swiger stole home on a pickoff attempt by the Pioneers' catcher, McKenzie Edmonds, and Depp capped the five run inning with an RBI double to right field.

Kusmits went 2-for-4 with two RBI, Calhoun and Hoover also had two hits, each. Olson (9-6) got the win after she struck out four hitters and allowed only two hits in her complete game shutout.

Glenville State's starting pitcher, Miranda Cropp (0-5) was given the loss after she allowed five runs, on six hits. The relief pitcher, Kahla Von Bergen allowed three runs, two earned.

Game 2

NDC responded in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Halli Swiger on second base, Kusmits reached on an error by Glenville State's second baseman, Kim Ellis. Swiger scored on the play.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Amy Hoover reached on an error, and moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Perris Stevens. Shelby Stephens then hit a walk-off single to right field.

After the game, Stephens said, "My early stuff wasn't falling and I was trying to pull right (on the walk-off hit). I think we made plays when we needed to and didn't give up."

Hoover had two hits and Luciano had two RBI. Taylor Olson started in the pitcher's circle and went three innings, allowing two runs on four hits. Kusmits (5-3) went six innings in relief and picked up the win. She allowed one run on five hits.
