Box Score URBANA, Ohio -- The Notre Dame Falcons scored another road victory on Sunday afternoon, as they earned their first Mountain East Conference win of the season, with an 11-2 win over the Urbana Blue Knights.
The Falcons (5-3, 1-1 MEC) won on the road for the second straight time, improving their road record to 3-1 on the season, while the loss for the Blue Knights (0-8, 0-2 MEC) was their eighth in a row to start the season.
Notre Dame was able to get out to an incredible start to begin the game. The Falcons outscored the Blue Knights, 7-0 in the opening period, getting an early goal from
Ashlee Boyko just over 10 minutes into the contest, before getting two more from
Darbie Barkman.

Bailey Reardon and Barkman all scored goals for the Falcons in the final 10 minutes of the half to add to the NDC lead.
While the Blue Knights scored two of the first three goals of the second period, NDC's lead was never in question, as they closed out the contest by scoring three goals inside the final eight minutes to get their first MEC win of the season.
Czarnecki had four goals on the day for the Falcons to go along with two ground balls and three draw controls. Barkman had four goals as well, and added a pair of ground balls.
Bailey Reardon added a pair of goals, while
Ashlee Boyko scored once.
Lauren Ragsdale had another great game in net for the Falcons, allowing just a pair of goals, while coming away with six saves to get her fifth win of the season.
The Falcons return to action on Friday, April 8, when they play host to Wheeling Jesuit at 4 p.m. on Normandy Field in South Euclid, Ohio.
