Box Score
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The Notre Dame College women's lacrosse team picked up a 14-13 home win over the visiting Ursuline Arrows on Friday afternoon at Normandy Field. The Falcons used a last-second goal from Ashlee Boyko to earn the victory as NDC improves to 2-1 on the season.

The Falcons were also led by Brooke Czarnecki, who assisted Boyko on the game-winning goal as time expired. Czarnecki finished the game with seven goals and one assist. Darbie Barkman added four goals and one assist while Boyko recorded two goals and one assist for NDC.

Bailey Reardon also scored a goal to aid the Falcons' efforts against Ursuline.

The Falcons and Arrows battled back-and-forth throughout the first half, and both sides were deadlocked at a 7-7 tie game at the half.

In the second half, the Arrows scored the opening goal to take an early 8-7 lead, but Barkman responded with a goal to tie the score with 27:20 remaining in regulation. Both sides traded a pair of goals over the next eight minutes, with Boyko scoring to tie the score at 10-10 with just under 20 minutes to play.

With 15:58 remaining in the game, Barkman added another goal to her tally to put the Falcons on top, 11-10.

However, the Arrows responded with offense of their own. Ursuline scored three of the next four goals in the game to take a 13-12 lead over NDC with 4:18 remaining.

But the Falcons remained resilient.

With just 38 seconds remaining in regulation, Czarnecki tied the game for the Falcons with a clutch goal, evening the score at 13-13. Overtime began to seem inevitable, but the Falcons had one last shot in them - and that was all they needed.

Boyko weaved through the Arrows' defense and scored a goal as time expired to lift the Falcons to victory in dramatic fashion, winning by a final score of 14-13.

With the win, the Falcons improve to 2-1 on the season.

NDC will return to action on Tuesday, March 15 on the road at Walsh University. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
