The two teams went back and forth over the first 10 minutes of the contest, as points were not tough to come by. Notre Dame scored the first three goals of the game just three minutes in, but the Oilers responded with four consecutive goals to claim the lead.
Notre Dame then scored two consecutive goals, with
Madalyn Dewling and
Shannan Edwards finding the back of the net during a 30-second stretch to put the Falcons back on top at the 21:20-mark, before Findlay's Olivia Porcaro scored a minute later to tie the game.
The Falcons then took over, scoring the next seven goals to take a commanding 12-5 advantage. The 7-0 run was highlighted by
Jill Dixon,

Hannah Conway, who all scored twice during that 11 minute stretch.
Notre Dame was able to maintain their advantage through the rest of the half, as they took a 14-8 lead at the half. Draw controls played a pivotal role in the opening half, with the Falcons taking a 14-8 advantage in that category as well.
The second half proved to be more of the same for NDC, as they outscored the Oilers, 10-3 in the second stanza. The Falcons clamped down defensively in the final 30 minutes of the contest, limiting the Oilers to just six shots during that stretch.
Hull lead the way for the Falcons with seven goals on the night, tying an individual season mark. Edwards found the back of the net six times, while Dewling scored four times, and Conway contributed with three.
The Falcons are in action again on Sunday, April 7. They will host Walsh at Korb Field, and the contest is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
