The Falcons scored early and often as they jumped out to a dominating 13-3 lead through the opening half before settling in for NDC's second largest win of the season.
"Today was all about taking care of business on the road, and gearing up for Grand Valley at home on Friday,” said Assistant Coach Aaron Jaffe.
The Blue & White were led on offense by
Allison Merten with five assists and two goals,
Kelly Matthewman and
Jill Dixon with four goals each. Dixon also added three assists tying Merten with seven points on the day.
Hannah Conway scored three to wrap-up the multi goal performers.
Elizabeth Anderson,
Madalyn Dewling,
Kristen Hull,
Taylor Shifflet,
Mickayla Meola, and
Hayley Hodyno each provided a goal while
Careni Lopez got on the score sheet with an assist.
Demi Bennett led the team in draw controls with four while
Audi King,
Jill Dixon, and
Kristen Hull each collected three.
Kelsey Harvey,
Amanda Matusik, and
Jessica Vuozzo split time in the net. Harvey picked up the victory allowing one goal on three saves through 22 minutes.
Notre Dame (6-9) erupted for a 1-0 lead when
Allison Merten netted her 22nd goal of the season within the opening seconds.
W. V. Wesleyan (2-12) responded on an individual effort by Taylor Holmes 90 seconds later to tie the game with 28:27 remaining in the opening half.
Jill Dixon found
Kristen Hull two minutes later that started a 10-0 run by the Falcons capped by
Hannah Conway's goal with 8:30 left in the first half giving Notre Dame a commanding 11-1 lead.
Over the final eight and a half minutes the Bobcats and Falcons each scored two goals apiece to end the opening 30 minutes with Notre Dame leading 13-3.
The Falcons outshot the Bobcats 23-6 and held a decisive 15-2 advantage in draw controls. Each team made six turnovers while Michelle Bissell made four saves compared to three by the Falcons through the opening 30 minutes.

The Falcons settled into a possession half only taking nine shots through the final 30 minutes and walked away with a commanding 19-6 victory. Notre Dame failed to score at least 20 goals for just the second time in its last five games. During that stretch the Falcons have scored 19.5 goals per game while going 3-2 with the losses coming against Grand Valley State (22-20) and Shepherd (19-18).
Notre Dame outshot W. V. Wesleyan 33-12 in regulation. The Falcons dominated the Bobcats 20-4 in draw controls and made all four clearances against WVWC.
Notre Dame returns to the friendly confines of Korb Field on Friday when they host Grand Valley State in the season finale at 7 p.m.
