Zak Blair joined the Notre Dame College baseball coaching staff in November 2023 as the top assistant coach.
Blair is currently the owner of the B2 Bulls Travel Program, and has been leading the organization since 2016. Prior to that, he was a part-time Area Scout for the Miami Marlins from 2016 to 2017.
His first collegiate coaching opportunity came in 2015, as he was named an assistant coach at Case Western Reserve University, where he stayed for two seasons.
Blair was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, before attending Division I Winthrop University and then finishing his collegiate career at Mercyhurst University. At Mercyhurst, he was named an All-American, along with multiple All-Conference and All-Region Awards.
While playing in the collegiate summer league, he was named a 2012 Cape Cod All-Star and took a spot on the All-League Team. He also earned the 2012 Cape Cod Daniel J. Silva Sportsmanship Award.
Blair was then selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 2013 MLB Draft.
He has been married to Rachael Blair for nine years and they have three children Blake, Bowen and Brooklyn.
