Biography

2022-23: Honorable Mention All-MEC for the 174 weight class at the MEC Championship with a third place finish... At Storm Open in Painesville, Ohio, defeated teammate Rodney Winston Jr. 6-3 in the quarterfinal... Got past Hayden Flynn 8-2 in the semi-finals and then place second after losing to Chase Cordia (Clarion).

2021-22: At the MEC Championships, an honorable mention All-MEC with a third place finish at the 174 weight class which included victories over Greg Griffith ( Alderson Broaddus) by medical forfeit and Brad Galassi ( Davis & Elkins) by decision 11-4 in the third place match.

2020-21: Wrestled in the NCAA Super Regional 3 Tournament at 174 lbs. and picked up one win over Deshawn Mercadel of Wheeling. Three team conference dual against Davis & Elkins, UNC Pembroke and West Liberty defeated Klye Wojtaszek (Davis & Elkins) 3-1 in sudden death.

High School: Participated in wrestling at Streetsboro High School... Three time state qualifier.

Personal: Son of Julie and Mike Carey... Majoring in early education.
