Anthony Ralph

Anthony Ralph came to Notre Dame in 2006 after a successful stint as an assistant at St. Peter Chanel (Bedford).  Ralph, himself a graduate of Chanel and later Kent State University, coached three all-americans, six state champions, 23 state placers and 26 state qualifiers while at Chanel.

He has been with the program since its inception in 2006-07, serving as an assistant coach until he was named Co-Head Coach in the summer of 2015. Since day one, Ralph has played an instrumental role in making the program as successful as its been. Since joining the ranks of NCAA-II in 2012, the Falcons have captured a team National Championship (2014), produced eight individual National Champions, and 26 individual All-Americans.

Ralph was a three-time state placer when he wrestled in high school.  He won state championships in 1996 and 1997 and compiled a career high-school mark of 125-19.

At KSU, Ralph wrestled for then-Golden Flash head coach Frank Romano.  He earned a Mid-American Conference championship at 157 pounds in 1997 when he also qualified for the NCAA Division I National Championships.

Since coming to NDC, Ralph has helped Head Coach Frank Romano develop five NAIA champions, 18 NAIA Al-Americans and 56 national qualifers.  He has been the driving force in recruitment efforts that have produced what is now a juggernaut program in small-college wrestling.

Ralph's brother Dan is an assistant coach at John Carroll University.  Anthony and his wife Karey have a daughter -- Gianna -- who was born in 2010.
