Luke Matthews began playing rugby at the age of six in his hometown of Beverly, England. He has lived in the US for the last 13 years and currently reside in Annandale, New Jersey.
He graduated from Kutztown University in May of 2018 with a degree in Sports Management. During his time at Kutztown, he played fly half and also coached the developmental team for a semester. In addition, he served on the executive board and held the positions of Recruit Relations Manager and Team Travel Manager.

After working with Rugby New Jersey as an Intern during the summer of 2017, he returned to Rugby New Jersey as College Coordinator the following summer.
