Career: Athletic defender with great vision and leadership … ranks second in games played (84) and fourth in games started (82) ... guided defense to the the most shutouts in program history (14) in 2010, second most (10) in 2011, and fourth best (7) in 2009 ... through  his 84 matches the Falcons defense has kept a recored 32 clean sheets ... 2010 the squad kept a recored seven consecutive shutouts ...  scored seven goals and provided one assist.  

2011: Team Captain ... moved into second all-time in games played (84) when he led the Falcons to its first Eastern College Athletic Conference Division II Championship over Lake Erie on Nov. 13 ... earned First Team All-Ohio Independent Championships ... led NDC to its second consecutive undefeated regular season and first undefeated season in program history (19-0-0) ... led Notre Dame to its first Eastern College Athletic Association Division II Championship and first Ohio Independent Championships title ... anchored backline that only allowed 13 goals in 19 matches ... defense kept a program second best 10 clean sheets 

2010: Team Captain ... All-American Mideast First Team ... earned AMC Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 6-12 ... led Falcons to first NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship Final ... started and played in all of the Falcons 24 matches ... anchor the defense that ranked sixth in the nation with 11 shutouts ... a single season program record ... also helped Falcons to hold their first seven opponents scoreless ... also a program record.

2009: Team Captain … Started and played in all of NDC’s 22 contests on the year … named to the NSCAA/adidas ® All-Region IX Team, First Team All-AMC … scored 2 goals on 20 shots. 

2008: Started 20 of 21 matches played … scored three goals and added assist … scored first and second career goal including the match winner Sept. 7, in 5-1, win against La Roche (Pa.). 

Prior to NDC: A 2006 graduate of Emrys AP Iwan … made 25 starts and 26 total appearances for Wales U16, U17 and U19 … played against England and Scotland sharing Victory Shield Trophy with England … played against USA in 2006, drawing 2-2 … played for Abergele FC Youth Academy in 1999-2001 … played for Wrexham FC Youth Academy in 2001 … Captain of Oldham FC Youth Team from 2006-2008 … also played Rugby till he was 15. 

Personal: Daniel Mark Knight … born February 18, 1990 … son of Bruce and Rose Knight … has one older brother, Matt, and one younger brother, Ben … brother Ben also attends Notre Dame College and is a member of the soccer team … double majoring in Business Management and Marketing.
