Ty Stillman has been a part of the Notre Dame coaching staff since the program’s inception in 2009. Stillman serves as the Falcons’ secondary coach and strength and conditioning coordinator. Prior to joining NDC, Stillman spent three seasons with Oberlin College as the running backs coach from 2006-07 and served as the defensive backs coach in 2008. During those years, Stillman was able to assist in the re-writing the offensive record books, primarily in the running game. Under his tutelage, tailback R. V. Carroll amassed over 3,900 yards of total offense, 28 touchdowns, 2,318 rushing yards, and was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a junior.

A 2000 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Stillman was a standout defensive back and wide receiver with the Battling Bishops, earning All-NCAC accolades after the 2000 season. His accomplished athletic career at Ohio Wesleyan wasn’t limited to football. Stillman was also the NCAA outdoor Track & Field champion in the 400-Meters in both 1999 and 2000 and was a three time All-American during his two years as a Track & Field athlete.

In 2001, Stillman stayed in Delaware and served as an assistant at his alma mater, working with the Bishops’ defensive backs. Stillman also coached at Olmsted Falls High School and John Marshall High School, both located on Cleveland’s Westside. He carried over his speed and talents to arena football, where he played for the Louisville Fire in 2002 and the Rochester Brigade in 2003.

Coach Stillman currently resides in Rocky River, Ohio with his Fiancé Shawna.
