Nathan Cole comes to Notre Dame College from Oberlin College, where he was the Offensive Line/Run Game Coordinator, and Special Teams Coordinator. He was promoted to Offensive Coordinator at the end of the season, and served that role until leaving in the Spring.
Cole also coached the University of Toledo, where he played from 2006-10. He will work primarily coaching the Falcons offensive line unit.
Cole recently completed a graduate assistant position with the Toledo Rockets, where he helped coach the team's offensive line and tight ends the past three seasons. His first two seasons at Toledo, he coached the Centers and Guards, and Tackles and Tight Ends. His last season he coached the Tight Ends and Fullbacks.Â

Cole assisted in all phases of the Rockets’ offensive scheme, working along side other Toledo coaches in coordinating the Run Game and Pass Game and game plans. He also aided in  all phases of special teams and all areas of recruiting within the program.

In addition, Toledo’s offense finished first in the nation sacks allowed and ninth in rushing yards per game. In his three years on staff, the Rockets went to two bowl games and won 25 games, including a Mid-American Conference record of 18-9.

Cole played for the Rockets from 2006-10, starting 32 games while earning four letters. He was team captain in 2010, winning the team’s Unsung Hero Award while helping the Rockets reach the Little Caesars Bowl.Â
He will recruit the following areas: Dayton, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and Illinois.Â
