Ed Jayjack

Ed Jayjack joined the Falcon coaching staff in 2011 as a graduate assistant.  Jayjack was a standout catcher at Dublin Coffman High School.  He was recognized as an All-Ohio backstop in 2005 and went to play college ball at North Carolina at Greensboro.

Jayjack had a stellar career at UNCG, batting .297 (86-of-290), with 13 home runs and 91 RBIs in 95 career games.   In 2010, he was named the watch list for the Johnny Bench Award , the honor for the nation’s top collegiate catcher.  Jayjack graduated from UNCG in 2010.

In 2010, Jayjack served as an assistant coach at Dublin Coffman and as an assistant for the Danville Dans, a Prospect League team in Illinois. 

Jayjack’s father, Ned, was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1970.  He played three professional seasons (1971-73), two of which were in the Yankees’ organization.
