Groff joined the Notre Dame coaching staff as a baseball intern in the fall of 2016. He is now a Graduate Assistant and Junior Varsity Coach.
Prior to joining the Falcon coaching staff, Groff played four seasons (2012-2015) at Penn State Greater Allegheny, Graduating in 2015.
Groff posted a .339 career batting average during his career at Penn State Greater Allegheny; the Lions won three PSUAC conference championships (2013-2015) and finished second in the 2013 USCAA National Championship.
In 2015, Groff was awarded first team all-conference honors as a catcher and third basemen.
He played 2016 season with the Salina Stockade and finished the 2017 season with the Sante Fe Fuego in the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs.
