11/18/13 – Akyee Henderson, Defense
Henderson, a sophomore defensive back from Cleveland, Ohio, intercepted two passes and brought them both back for touchdowns in a win over West Liberty. In addition to the two interceptions, Henderson had seven tackles on the day and 107 return yards on his two picks returned for scores. In the first quarter, he gave the Falcons a 7-0 lead on a 43-yard pick returned for a touchdown, and his 67-yard interception returned for a TD in the fourth quarter sealed the deal in an NDC victory.
10/7/13 – Mike Fields, Special Teams
Fields, a senior from Spring Hill, Fla., had 202 return yards in a 59-35 win over UVa-Wise. Fields three kickoffs for 82 yards and three punts for 76 yards, including a 69-yard return for a touchdown. He also topped things off with an interception he returned for 44 yards against the Cavs.
9/9/13 – Ray Russ, Offense
Russ, a junior from Willoughby Hills, Ohio, threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for the game-winning score in the fourth quarter to lead the Falcons to a 37-31 win over Malone on Saturday. Russ completed over 70 percent of his passes (27-of-38) as NDC won its first game in its new on-campus facility.
