WHEELING, W.Va. – The Notre Dame College women's basketball team (4-13, 3-8 MEC) continued their trek through the MEC, as the Falcons saw Wheeling University (10-7, 8-3 MEC) on Wednesday evening. After NDC secured round one back on Nov. 19 (55-51), WU took the second contest, 86-53.
The Falcons started the game slow as Wheeling led 20-6 after the first quarter and 43-13 at the break.
Notre Dame gathered their footing in the second half by shooting 12-26 (46.1%) from the floor, including 4-5 (80.0%) from three-point land. The two sides dueled to a 18-18 third quarter, and 25-22 fourth quarter, before Wheeling came out on top, 86-53.

Alana Ellis led the Falcons with 10 points apiece.
Junior
Lizzie Imrie chipped in seven points, and a team-high seven rebounds and two steals.
As a whole, NDC shot 18-57 (31.6%) from the floor, 4-12 (33.3%) from three and 13-17 (76.5%) from the charity stripe.
The Notre Dame College women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. when Alderson Broaddus University enters Murphy Gymnasium.
