BUCKHANNON, W.VA.-- The NDC Baseball team got two big wins against West Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon, scoring 19 runs.
In the first game,
Austin Mora got five innings of work in his fourth win of the season, allowing four runs on five hits and five walks while earning six strikeouts. The Falcon offense combined for 13 runs on 15 hits, of which seven were for extra bases.
Notre Dame broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the seventh inning by scoring two runs, giving
Kyle Farrell his first win of the season.
Hayden Parker started the game and pitched 5.1 innings.
Freshman
Ben Ross had a day at the plate, going 5-7 at the plate driving in five runs, scoring four runs himself, hit three home runs, and hit two doubles and walked twice.
Nick Farrell also saw the ball well, ending the day with a .500 batting average (4-8), with three RBIs and scored two runs.
With the wins, the Falcons improve to 8-10 and are back at .500 in the MEC with a 5-5 record. They head to Elkins, W.VA. tomorrow for a double header against Davis & Elkins College.
