PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Notre Dame College ended the regular season on the road, falling to Alderson Broaddus by a score of 2-0, on Sunday. The Falcons did clinch a spot in the Mountain East Conference Tournament and will be the three seed.
In the first half, NDC took eight shots with all four of their shots on goal coming in the final 13 minutes. Junior

Ailton Fagner Silva both took one.
Alderson Broaddus' goalkeeper Carlos Gallardo totaled seven saves, with four in the first half and three in the second.
The two teams were still scoreless until the 72nd minute, when AB used a set piece to score the first goal. Johnley Bineau was credited with an assist, as a free kick was sent into the box and Zvi Ferrari scored.
NDC's final chance came in the 89th minute, when senior
Kane Bartholomew attempted to score for the third game in a row, but Gallardo picked up another save.
Not long after that save, Andreas Rossak hustled after the ball and got behind the NDC defense to give the Battlers a 2-0 lead.

Pedro Alves finished the game with four saves as Alderson Broaddus took 12 shots and six shots on goal.
In the MEC Tournament next week, Notre Dame will take on the University of Charleston in the Semifinals, on Nov. 10. Charleston is ranked No. 5 in NCAA Division II and will be the two seed in the conference tournament. The Falcons will attempt to reach the MEC championship game for the third consecutive season. (
