SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Coming off of a win in their first Mountain East Conference game of the season, Notre Dame College fell to Shepherd University, on Sunday, by a score of 22-4.
Shepherd held an 8-0 lead before the Falcons got on the board with a goal by freshman
Katie Wendell at the 12:02-mark. The Rams took an 11-2 lead into the halftime break.
Notre Dame scored the first goal of the second half, when sophomore
Bridie Schmalz scored off a pass from freshman
Danyelle Hardy. Shepherd then closed the game on an 11-1 run.

Taylor Henderson had the goals for Notre Dame. Freshman
Lauren LaFrance caused two turnovers.
For Shepherd, Mallory Davila and Lauren Funke each had six goals, while Sidney Kelly scored three goals and assisted on three others. Katherine Campbell caused three turnovers.
NDC will host Ohio Valley University on March 29. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
