SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio –
Kyleigh Ramlow lit things up for the Notre Dame College women's basketball team on Thursday evening against Concord, but the Falcons would end up losing 85-76.
Ramlow led both teams with 32 points, making seven threes. She is the 12th player in school history to score 30 or more points and her seven threes is tied for second most in a single game. The junior from Toldeo, Ohio hit her stride in the second quarter as she made all four of her attempts from beyond the arc to guide NDC to a 41-32 lead at halftime.
And while Ramlow would continue her scoring in the second half (17 points in the final two quarters), the Mountain Lions would outscore Notre Dame 53-35 to come back and win the game.
"Kyleigh played well offensively and provided excitement for the team," said head coach
Lauren Macer. "It was awesome to see her have that kind of energy, and great to see her teammates feeding her the ball.
"We need to finish those games, though. It was a tough game, but we need to finish out better."
Ramlow was joined in double digits by
Seina Adachi and
Jada Marone who had 18 and 12, respectively.
Jessie Stout led both teams with 10 rebounds and assisted on four baskets while blocking two shots.
Katie Karalic also tallied four assists and two steals.
Notre Dame will play UVa-Wise on Saturday, February 23, at 2 p.m. in Murphy Gymnasium.
