GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Notre Dame College ended their regular season with a 2-0 loss to Northern Michigan University, a non-conference opponent, at a neutral site on Saturday afternoon.
In the 29th minute, the Wildcats (5-10-2) took a 1-0 lead as Sveinn Karlsson scored his second goal of the season on a ball that was deflected around the penalty box and into the back of the net. In the 40th minute, Sam Popp scored his fifth goal of the season with an assist by Karlsson.
The Falcons (11-6) were able to take two shots on goal and sophomore
Daniele De Angelis had four saves.
NMU's goalkeeper Filippo Torelli made two saves and seven different players took a shot for the Wildcats.
The Falcons are seeded fourth in the Mountain East Conference Tournament and will travel to play No. 1 University of Charleston on November 1.
