Falcons host OWU and Oberlin

Tough outcome for NDC in Tri-Meet showdown

The Notre Dame Falcons swimming and diving teams finished in third-place out of three teams. The men finished behind Oberlin College (second-place) and Ohio Wesleyan University (first-place); while the women finished behind Ohio Wesleyan (second) and Oberlin (first) in a Tri-Meet at Notre Dame College's Mellen Pool on Saturday afternoon.  

Sarah Reichman and Jenna Reichman finished 1-2, respectively, in the 100-yard backstroke. Sarah paced the field with a time of 1:01.15 in an event where she had the pool record (1:00.08), while Jenna was right behind her sister with a time of 1:03.06. Sarah later won the 50-yard freestyle; a race where she holds another Mellen pool record (24.88). Sarah won Saturday's event with a time of 25.74.

Amanda Green won the 1-meter diving event with a final's score of 293.10.

Hunter Bell took first in an impressive field for the 100-yard breastroke. Bell finished with a time of 1:06.28.

Notre Dame will have an opportunity for a bounce-back performance tomorrow at Fairmount State starting at 1:00 pm.
