HUNTINGTON, W.Va.--The Notre Dame Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams each placed fourth at the Appalachian Conference Championships over the weekend, and tallied four first place finishes. (

The Falcon men finished with a score of 418 for the tournament, and had eight competitors finish in the top three in their respective events. #Greg Pristov# continued his winning ways this season, by winning the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 52.02 seconds. Pristov also placed second in the 500-Yard freestyle, with a time of 4:51.01, and finished second in the 200-Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:01.01. #Chris Tuttle# finished 1,650-Yard Freestyle in 17:15.12, which was good enough for second place. #Justin Pulling# came away with a pair of first place finishes, scoring a 217.72 in the 3-Meter diving competition and a 224.17 score in the 1-Meter diving competition. #Nick Gotschall# finished second to Pulling in the 3-Meter with a score of 161.10 and finished third in the 1-Meter with a 157.20.
The Notre Dame women ended up with a score of 364.5, and were led by both #Emily Whittington# and #Lauryssa Reiger#, who came away with five medals combined. Whittington won the 200-Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:12.04, and finished second in the 200-Yard Individual Medley, turning in a time of 2:13.20. Reiger finished the 400-Yard Individual Medley in 4:47.53, good enough for second place, and she finished third in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:01.78. The team of Whittington, Reiger, #Kelly O'Connor# and #Caley Miller# finished second in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:57.03.
Notre Dame is back in action again, March 3-6, in St. Charles, Missouri, for the NAIA National Championships.
