Katie Hine will be entering her seventh season at the helm of the Notre Dame College women’s basketball program in the 2017-18 season.

Hine has led NDC to an overall record of 98-73 since taking over before the 2011-12 season. She also holds a 54-34 record against conference MEC opponents. The Falcons have also maintained a Varsity Team GPA above 3.0 since her arrival.

In Hine's time at Notre Dame, one player has earned Academic All-American (Lauren Langenderfer), seven players have been named to an All-MEC team, four earned Academic All-Region honors, three were awarded with All-Region honors and one player was named to the All-Tournament team.

Coach Hine received MEC Coach of the Year honors in the 2016-17 season after guiding her team to eight-straight wins in MEC play to finish the year with a 15-13 record. Kelsey Miller was a standout for NDC in her senior year earning First Team All-MEC and Second Team All-Atlantic Region honors.

During the 2015-16 season, the Falcons earned their highest winning percentage with a 20-10 record (.667). NDC went 16-6 in conference play that season as Martha Nagbe and Lauren Langenderfer led the team. Nagbe was named First Team All-MEC and Second Team All-Region while Langenderfer was named Second Team All-MEC and Academic All-American.

The 2014-15 season was perhaps Coach Hine's most successful season at the helm of NDC women's basketball. The Falcons finished the season with an overall record of 20-12, including a 13-9 mark against Mountain East Conference competition. NDC finished the season as the conference runners-up, advancing all the way to the MEC Championship game. Furthermore, redshirt junior Martha Nagbe was named Mountain East Conference Player of the Year under Hine's tutelage.

During the first season of competition in the Mountain East Conference in 2013-2014, Hine led the Falcons to a 14-13 overall record with a slate of 10-10 in MEC play. During the preseason, the coaches voted NDC to finish 11th overall and Notre Dame established a 7th place finish at the end of the season.

The season was highlighted by defeating then nationally-ranked No. 25 West Liberty by a score of 85-76 on December 5, 2013, and defeating regionally ranked Fairmont State University by a score of 73-69 on February 25, 2014.  Hine coached redshirt sophomore Martha Nagbe to a First Team All-Conference accolade, in addition to having five players (Nagbe, Celine Mangan, Lauren Langenderfer, Katie Stumphauzer, and Sarah Weyer)  from her roster earning an NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award.  The season also included a team trip to Hawaii to play two games and experience an opportunity of a lifetime.

The 2012-13 campaign highlighted a ten game win streak that spanned from the second week in January through the third week in February. Hine was able to guide the Falcons from a 2-11 start of the season to an 11-2 cap of the season.  During this time, guard Lauren Macer transformed her offensive game from 8 ppg in the 2011-12 season to over 18 ppg during the 2012-13 campaign. Macer cracked the top 30 in NCAA Division II in scoring and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark.

During Hine’s inaugural season at Notre Dame College, the Falcons finished with a 16-12 record.  While dropping to a 0-4 record to start the season, the Falcons stayed focused and were able to pull to a .500 record on January 31, 2012 with a 90-52 victory at Salem International University.  The momentum continued in a positive direction for Hine and the Falcons as the squad marked wins on an impressive 12 of 15 games during the second semester of play.  The Falcons won 9 of their last 10 regular season games before dropping to Urbana University on March 2, 2012 in the OIC Tournament.  Freshman Martha Nagbe was recognized for her efforts be being named Co-Freshman of the Year in NCAA Divison II for Independent Schools.

Hine began her head coaching career at  Wheeling Jesuit University.  While at Wheeling Jesuit, she coached the Lady Cardinals to the semi-final round of the 2010 West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament.  and was an integral part of recruiting and advising a program that notched a WJU-women's-team-record 3.45 grade-point average. She held the role as head coach and assistant compliance coordinator for two seasons.

Prior to taking the head position, Hine served as an assistant coach at Wheeling Jesuit from 2007-2009.  A 2007 graduate from the NCAA-II institution, in her playing days with the Lady Cardinals, Hine was part of a 2007 class that recorded a program-record 84 games over four seasons (2003-07).  Hine was an integral part of reaching the NCAA Division II National tournament in 2005 and 2006.  The Lady Cardinals won WVIAC Conference Tournament in 2005. She served as a Lady Cardinal team captain in both her junior and senior seasons (2005-07).
