Andrew Bannister finished second at the Super Regional Tournament, earning him a spot at the NCAA-II Wrestling National Championships in the 149 lbs. weight class.  Bannister went 20-8 during the season, and finished with a pair of wins at the Super Regional Tournament, as he was barely edged out in the finals in a 5-4 decision. 

Bannister has been very impressive off the mat as well.  A redshirt sophomore from La Plata, Md., Bannister is a member of the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society.  He carries a 3.9 GPA and is an Education Major.
