In November, Powell registered a pair of 100-yard rushing games, and finished his remarkable career on College Road, as the all-time leading rusher in school history, with 4,774 yards rushing, and 34 touchdowns.
Off the field, Powell was just as good, if not better. The Liberty, Ohio, native has a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and is a Criminal Justice, and Political Science Major, and earned Academic All American honors.Â
Powell was the second leading rusher in the Mountain East Conference, rushing for 1,377 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning him a spot on the Mountain East Conference first team. He ran for 100 yards or more seven times this season, and rushed for 200 yards or more twice.Â
