Pierson pitched 43.1 innings in April and allowed just 11 earned runs while striking out 24 batters. He wrapped up the season leading the pitching staff in ERA (2.16) and was tied for the team lead in appearances (14) and saves (1). He also had five complete games this season. The junior is a double major in sports management and marketing with a GPA of 3.855.
