Silva has wrestled exceptionally well to start the season. While competing at the Findlay Open, Silva finished in third place in the 157 lbs. bracket. At the National Duals, Silva wrestled four meets and was undefeated at 157 lbs. He beat wrestlers from Ashland, Indianapolis, Colorado State-Pueblo and Central Oklahoma. And in the Falcons 19-18 win over Ashland in a dual meet, Silva pinned Sid Ohl. He is majoring in education and has a GPA of 3.07.
