NDC WRESTLING - HISTORY
Notre Dame Wrestling was instituted in 2006 and in short order became one of the College's most successful athletic programs and one of the most successful programs nationally in small-college wrestling.
NDC grapplers began earning national titles in 2008 (Victer Crenshaw), and the Wrestling Falcons captured Notre Dame's first national championshipin any sport with a win at the 2010 NAIA National Championships.
In their first season as an NCAA-II Institution, the Falcons won the the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, and earned a third place finish at the National Championships. Â
Affiliation: The Falcons became an NCAA-II program in the summer of 2012, and participated as a member of the GLIAC in the 2012-13 season.Â
