St. Charles, Mo.--The Notre Dame Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams each placed 13th in a field of 19 teams the NAIA National Championships over the weekend. (Results)

The Falcon men finished with a score of 49 for the tournament, and had one top-25 finish. #Chris Tuttle# finished 21st in the 1,650-Yard Freestyle, with a time of 17:11.46. Tuttle teamed up with #Greg Pristov#, #Chad Bartko# and #Cameron McRae# in the 800-Yard Freestyle Relay to finish 12th with a time of 7:21.67. McRae, Pristov, Tuttle and #Jacob Lutz# also placed 12th in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:40.88. That same Falcon foursome finished 13th in the 200-Meter Freestyle Relay (1:29.15), 400-Yard Medley Relay (3:40.56), and again in the 400-Meter Freestyle Relay (3:16.54).

The Notre Dame women ended up with a score of 49, and were led by #Emily Whittington#, who finished 13th in the 200-Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:11.09. Whittington joined the team of #Lauryssa Rieger #, #Kelly O'Connor# and #Caley Miller# in the 200-Yard Medley to finish 14th with a time of 1:57.97. The same foursome finished the 800-Yard Freestyle in 8:23.49, placing 14th, and they placed 14th in the 200-Yard Freestyle (1:44.83) and were 14th again in the 400-Yard Medley (4:15.67). Whittington, Miller and Reiger teamed up with #Emily Perkins# to finish 14th, in the 400-Meter Freestyle (3:50.58). 

The meet caps a successful season for the Falcons. During the 2009-10 season, 17 individual school records were broken. A total of 13 were set on the men's side, while the women broke four individual records. The Falcons had 11 women qualify for 13 events at the National Championships, and the men had six qualify for the National Championships in 10 events. 

In addition to snapping 17 individual school records, Notre Dame also broke four school records in relay events. The women set records in both the 200-Yard and 400-Yard Medley Relay events. The Falcon men set school relay records in the 400-Yard Medley, in addition to the 200-Yard Freestyle, 400-Yard Freestyle, and 800-Yard Freestyle Relay.
