NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Notre Dame's 2009-10 season got underway Monday and Tuesday, with the Falcons competing in the Walsh University Fall Classic. The Blue & White finished 10th in the 36-hole invitational, which was played at The Sanctuary GC. (

Junior #Julie Trace# led Notre Dame over the two days at the 6,109-yard track. The Glouster, Ohio, native placed 21st in the 59-player field, firing a 91-89--180.
“We want to build on these two days,” said Head Coach #Nick Formica#. “Each tournament we play in is a learning experience.”
Ten teams competed in the event, which was won by the host Cavaliers of Walsh University. WU's Nikki Kulasa was the medalist; she shot 83-79--162.
