SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame tallied 128 points to retain its No. 1 ranking in the second edition of the NAIA Wrestling Coaches' Top-20 Poll, the NAIA announced Tuesday.
The Wrestling Falcons boast nine ranked individuals on the updated poll, including four -- Jeffrey Pelton (149 pounds), Thomas Straughn (157), Derek Foore (197),
Orlando Scales (HWT) -- at the top of their respective weight classes.
McKendree (Ill.) also landed nine grapplers throughout the poll to rank second behind Notre Dame and close the gap in points from the rankings released two weeks ago. McKendree scored 107 points in the poll.
With the release of Tuesday's Top-20 poll, NDC has now been ranked No. 1 in nine consecutive polls dating back to Nov. 24, 2010.
