Crestwood product Eric Head inks with Falcon Football

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame Football announced today that Mantua, Ohio, native Eric Head has signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to continue his football career with Notre Dame.

Head is currently a senior at Crestwood High School, where he earned two letters for Head Coach Tom Hannan. As a senior, the 6-foot, 225 pounder played fullback and middle linebacker. Head rushed 83 times for 491 yards and five touchdowns. On the other side of the ball, the Red Devils' team captain made 73 tackles and was named to the All-Portage Trail Conference Team. In that same senior season (2008), Head also made nine tackles for a loss and earned Crestwood's Jack Lambert Award as the squad's defensive MVP.

The son of John and Char Head, Eric plans on beginning classes at NDC in the fall and on majoring in sports management. “I chose NDC because it fits my plan for education and because of the opportunity to play football,” said Head. “I'm excited to be a part of a program from the beginning.”

The development of a Football program at Notre Dame College was announced on Nov. 25. With their development of a team, Notre Dame becomes the only scholarship football team in the metropolitan Cleveland area.
