SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame Men's Bowling announced today that Matt Roche has signed an NAIA Letter of Intent to continue his bowling career with the Falcons.
Roche comes to College Road from Willowick, Ohio, where he is a standout bowler for Eastlake North High School's club team. Roche serves as team captain and currently sports a 208 average, after averaging 173 and 186 in his sophomore and junior campaigns, respectively. Roche placed third of 70 bowlers in his most recent sectional competition at ENHS.
The son of Kevin and Dawn Roche, Matt plans on beginning classes at Notre Dame in the fall and majoring in political science. His brother Kyle is a sophomore on the NDC Men's Tennis team, and Matt himself sported 33-5 record as a tennis standout for the Rangers. He was named First Team All-Premier Athletic Conference in both his freshman and junior seasons, and he plans on continuing his tennis career on NDC's team as a two-sport athlete.
