NDC devours Pitt-Bradford in dual meet at home

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame's men's and women's teams swept Pitt-Bradford (Pa.) on Saturday, with the Falcons winning big, 156-86 (men) and 152-83 (women). (Results)

The NDC won 11 of 14 events and the women won 10 of 14, as NDC dominated in the home waters of the Mellen Pool. Falcon swimmers posted six new national-qualifying times in the meet.

For the men, #Greg Pristov# qualified for nationals with a gold-winning 18:01.00 in the 1650-Yard Freestyle. Pristov earned three gold medals on the day, and his time in the 1650 Free set a new Falcon record.

#Cameron McRae# also qualified for nationals - he swam the opening leg of the Men's 400 Free Relay in 49.33 seconds. The sophomore from Windsor, Ont., also garnered three golds on Saturday. NDC's #Jordan Cvijanovic# also earned three golds on the afternoon.

Sophomore standout #Emily Whittington# highlighted the women's competition. The Pickerington, Ohio, native posted two national-qualifying times - a 1:11.80 in the 100 Breast and a 4:51.34 in the 400 IM. She earned a trio of gold medals in the meet.

#Shannan Fitzgerald# and #Tanya Turk# also earned qualifying times, both of which came in the 1650 Free.

For the men, Saturday's win marked their first of the season; NDC is now 1-6 in dual meet competition. The women's team ran their record to 3-4.

Notre Dame will be off next week and return to action Dec. 4-5, when they travel up the road to University Heights to compete in the Carroll Swim Classic hosted by Jon Carroll University.
